Google Place ID finder
Paste a Google Maps link and we'll pull out the Place ID — the identifier booking systems, review widgets and Google's own APIs ask for. No API key, no Cloud account, no sign-up.
On your phone: search your business in Google Maps, tap Share, then Copy link. On a computer: open your listing and copy what's in the address bar.
What a Place ID looks like
A real one starts with ChIJ (occasionally GhIJ) and runs to about 27 characters — for example ChIJN1t_tDeuEmsRUsoyG83frY4. It never changes, even if you rename the business or move premises.
Why do I sometimes get 0x…:0x… instead?
Because Google's share links don't always carry the Place ID. Some only carry a hex data ID, which identifies the same business internally but isn't accepted where a Place ID is asked for. When that happens we tell you, rather than handing over a value that fails later — the tool above will say so and show you how to get the real one.
Do I need a Google Cloud account?
Not for this. Google's own Place ID finder needs a Maps JavaScript API key, which means a Cloud project and a billing card. This reads the ID straight out of your share link instead, so there's nothing to set up — the trade-off is that it can't search by business name, only read a link you paste.
I just want customers to leave reviews
Then you want the link, not the ID. The review link finder gives you the URL that opens your review box directly.
Skip the setup entirely
Our NFC counter stands and tap cards ship already encoded with your review link. You don't need the Place ID, an app, or a subscription.
